For this image I wanted to achieve an image slightly different than the others in the series due to it being my final image and the only photograph which is based on a modification not a disfuntion. I wanted to make her appear like an alien so that my model looks truly like she has gone to the extreme in terms of how she physically looks. To do this I split her tongue and blacked out her eyes, both modifications that have been growing in popularity over the past few years. I also used very pale make up and strong contour in order to give my model a very washed out completion and a strong bone structure making her appear more like an alien than a human. I believe that looking at links in the early stage of my project such as Grace Neutral and her body modifications and why she got them has made me look at this photograph in a difference sense. Neautral wanted to make her body into artwork despite objectification. I do feel that with this image especially objectification is very strong as her body does look like art and fashion not like under all the modifications she is a real human. With this image I wanted to show how our society has grown, how people actually want to turn themselves into 'Freaks' to fight boredom. Therefore I do feel therefore this image concludes the series which I have shot very well.
