Hunting for a model for this shoot was quite easy as a girl who I had on several forms of social media has seen my previous work for this brief (So my The Twins and my Giraffe Girl image) and offered to be a model for my Tree Woman shoot. Like Esme and my Giraffe Girl shoot, Giulia Zielasko had only done modelling for photography students like myself but really enjoyed modelling and was interested in my project and so offered to model for me. This has really boosted my confidence with scouting for models and actually posting my own work on forms of social media as I now know that the outcome can be beneficial.
For make-up, like in both my other shoots, I got my friend, Shannon Batchelor, to do my models make up as I know that she has experience with doing make-up on people and for my past two shoots I was very happy with the make up outcome. For this shoot I wanted her to completely black out my models eyes and leave the rest of her face pale and washed out. This was because I wanted her skin to appear very monotone and minimal so that the diseases would look even more extreme.

For clothing, to match the other photos in the series I also bought my model an outfit that was monotone. By matching things such as colour in my photos each individual photograph in my brief look a part of a series. This also helps to add onto the style of my photographic series, minamalistic contemporary fashion.
The shoot:

During the actual shoot I did, like the other few shoots , aim to get a set of two images but unfortunately I found it rather hard to relax model and so most photos didn't turn out the way I initially planned. I do feel in the future I need to find ways in which I can relax my models so I can achieve the best outcome with the shoots.
Despite that I do still find that I did achieve what I wanted to with this image. Like both my other images, the outcome of the link of fashion photography is still very strong which helps undermined and objectify the subject. With this particular image, I did want to achieve something more relatable with our society and see if my viewers would still have the same passive reaction. Due to this photograph being based on a skin disorder, I felt as if the subject is more real and common especially with modern society as almost every women doesn't like their skin. The fashion industry would never use an image of a model which revelled her skin flaws like acne, so therefore a photograph like this, even in the fashion industry would be considered shocking. I do feel that collecting feedback for this image will be interesting to see if objectivity is still present and will it also create a passive reaction like the other images.
